A flat roof rear dormer to make a loft conversion
The addition of a dormer loft conversion to this property saw a few layout changes implemented on the first floor to provide easier access. Originally a stairway led up into a small hallway that connected the bathroom and two bedrooms together. A new set of stairs was built to provide an entrance up to the loft so the first, and largest, bedroom was reduced in size to allow for the extension to the hallway. The stairs were then repositioned to descend from the new hallway, with a second stairway created to ascend into the loft directly above it.
Walking up into the loft now took you to a newly built third bedroom in the property, which was now the largest in the house. A cupboard was built in the far right corner of the room along with a dormer window overlooking the entrance to the property. An en suite bathroom was also constructed at the front of the loft, which included a shower and a Velux window.
